Description

This project was required because in the summer of 2016 the existing culvert under Highway 29S became damaged, resulting in the washout of the highway.  A detour was constructed around the washout and this project was tendered in the spring of 2017.

The major items of work included removal of the existing 3 meter diameter culvert; 26,000m3 of excavation; production and placement of 18,000m3 of processed aggregates; supply and installation of a 71m long/ 6.5m diameter multiplate culvert; supply and installation of 500m3 of RipRap; 1,400m3 of reinforced structural fill; paving and concrete roadside barriers.
