Description

Project consists of widening 3.5 km of the Alaska Highway including major intersection works.  The components of the work include crushing all materials for use on site, stripping, excavation to waste, geotextile and geogrid placement, five major culvert crossings, paving and all electrical works.  This work is performed in a sensitive archeological area and extremely high traffic section of the Alaska Highway.  The work was completed September 30, 2009.
